Map each topic to a section and each sub-skill to a lesson, then fill it with the rich lesson editor — video explainers, PDF worksheets, audio, a quiz. Quizzes that check every topic.

Build a quiz into any lesson to test understanding right after the video and worksheet for that skill. Because quizzes live in the lesson, a student practises the topic before moving on. Pair quizzes with sequential gating — "Require completion before next lesson" — so a weaker student can't skip past the fundamentals to the harder material, and every student covers the syllabus in order.

Drip scheduling that paces a term.

A 10-week exam-prep course only works if students don't rush to the end in a weekend. Drip scheduling releases a topic a set number of days after enrolment, so each week's lesson lands when that week's work is due. Run a live cohort by scheduling lessons to publish on fixed dates, keep future topics as Draft, and set an access deadline so each student's end date shows on their member page. When exam season is over, end access by removing students from the course or with Shopify Flow's Revoke course access action.

Per-student progress and completion analytics.

The per-course Members Overview shows a progress bar, completion rate and status for every student, with enrolment date. You see who has finished week two, who is stuck and who hasn't started before each tutoring session. When a student completes the course, Alva Courses automatically awards a branded completion certificate — a finishing milestone families value. Students download it from the course, and you can switch on an email that sends it as a PDF. Edit the template to carry your centre's brand.

Roster management & instant access.

The moment an order is paid, week one is in the student's customer account and, once you switch it on, a branded enrolment email welcomes them — no manual handover. Add a student by hand, bulk-import a class roster by CSV, or export the list. The global Members view tracks every student across every subject your centre runs, so you walk into each session already knowing who's done the work.

Discussions and access, in your Shopify store.

A native per-lesson comment system lets students ask questions where the content lives, with moderation tools and an optional email ping when someone posts — handy for a quick query between sessions. Enrolment and certificate emails send from your own custom domain, and students watch lessons in a branded storefront course player inside your Shopify customer account — no second login, no third-party platform to manage.
