How it works
The Alva Courses builder shows your course as a list of sections with lessons nested beneath each one. You rearrange the whole curriculum with drag handles, and each row carries an action menu for renaming, duplicating, moving and deleting. There is no separate Save button — edits persist as you make them.
Reorder, rename and duplicate steps
1. Open the course builder
In the Shopify admin, open Alva Courses, click Courses, and open the course you want to edit. The drag-and-drop builder lists every section with its lessons nested beneath.
2. Drag to reorder
Grab the drag handle on the left of any section or lesson and drag it to a new position. Drop a lesson into a different section to move it. The new order saves automatically.
3. Rename a section or lesson
Click the title of a section or lesson to edit it inline, type the new name, and click away or press Enter to save.
4. Duplicate a section or lesson
Open the row's action menu and choose Duplicate. Alva Courses copies the item and its content directly below the original, ready to edit — handy for repeating a lesson template.
5. Move or delete content
Use the same action menu to move a lesson to another section or to delete a section or lesson. Confirm the prompt — deleting a section also removes its lessons.
What learners see
In the storefront course player, sections and lessons appear in the exact order you set in the builder. Renaming a lesson updates its title in the sidebar immediately, and deleting content removes it from the player for everyone.
