Sidekick prompts for courses and students

Alva Courses gives Sidekick access to course information, saved student progress and email send attempts for your store. Use specific course names and student details to get useful answers, then follow the links to the relevant Alva Courses page.

Questions to try

  • “Find [course name] and show its sections and lessons.”
  • “Find lessons with [topic] in their title, then summarise [lesson name].”
  • “For [student email] in [course name], check saved access, progress, quizzes and certificate status.”
  • “List enrolments for [course name] and summarise their stored completion status.”
  • “How many students enrolled in [course name] between [start date] and [end date]?”
  • “Which evaluations, quiz reviews and unread messages need attention?”
  • “Check recent enrolment email send attempts for [student email].”
  • “Check [course name] for publication, product links, email settings and certificate settings.”

Read the result in context

Alva Courses reports saved records. Completion and current access are separate: completed coursework can remain after access expires or is removed. Zero completed lessons does not prove a student never visited. Settings checks do not replace a test enrolment.

For date questions, say whether you mean students enrolled during the period or completions recorded during it. Date ranges use your shop’s timezone. Ask for a smaller range if a result is partial or unavailable.

Common questions

What if several students have the same name?

Use the student’s exact email address or Shopify customer ID. Confirm the matched student before interpreting course status.

Does a successful email attempt mean the student received it?

No. A successful send attempt does not confirm inbox delivery or that the email was opened. Shared emails covering several courses can have uncertain course coverage.

Does lesson search read all lesson content?

Search matches saved lesson and section titles. A lesson summary can include a limited text excerpt; it does not return every content block or quiz answer.

Does an unknown result mean there is no access or activity?

No. Missing or partial evidence is not a zero count or a denial of access. Membership-tag access may need checking in Shopify and the normal Alva Courses workflow.
