How it works
A quiz is a content block inside a lesson, sitting alongside text, video and file blocks. You write questions with multiple answer options and mark the correct ones. When a student reaches the lesson in the course player, they answer the quiz and see their result.
Add quiz steps
1. Open the lesson in the editor
In the Shopify admin, open Alva Courses, select your course, and click the lesson you want the quiz in. The lesson editor opens showing its content blocks.
2. Add a Quiz block
Click Add block and choose Quiz. A quiz block drops into the lesson, ready for your first question.
3. Write your questions and answers
Type each question, add the answer options, and mark which one is correct. Use Add question to build as many questions as the checkpoint needs.
4. Save and publish the lesson
Click Save, then make sure the lesson is published rather than left as a draft. Enrolled students can now take the quiz inside the course player.
What learners see
In the storefront course player, students answer each question and submit the quiz to see their result. Pair the quiz with Require completion before the next lesson so they finish the checkpoint before the next lesson unlocks.
