Customise the enrolment email

Alva Courses sends an enrolment email the moment a student is added to a course. Edit its from-name, subject, title, message, footer and login hint, then preview it in light and dark mode — all inside the Shopify admin — before you save.

How it works

The enrolment email is the automatic welcome Alva Courses sends whenever a student is enrolled — after a purchase or a manual add. You control every visible part of it: the from-name and subject in the inbox, and the title, message body, footer and login hint inside. A live preview renders your changes in both light and dark mode, so you can see exactly what students will receive before anything goes out.

Edit the enrolment email

1. Open the enrolment email template

In the Shopify admin, open Alva Courses, go to Settings, and select Email & notifications. Open the enrolment email — the message sent automatically when a student is enrolled in a course.

The enrolment email editor, with from-name, subject, title, message and login hint fields plus a live preview.

2. Set the from-name and subject

Edit the From name so the email shows your brand in the student's inbox, then write a clear Subject line such as "You're enrolled — start learning". A recognisable sender and subject improve open rates.

3. Edit the title, message and footer

Update the email Title, write a welcoming Message body, and adjust the Footer text. Keep the login hint so students know where to open the course player and how to sign in to start watching.

4. Preview in light and dark mode, then save

Use the live Preview to check the email in both light and dark mode, confirm the login hint and call-to-action button render correctly, then save your changes.

What students see

As soon as they are enrolled, students receive your branded email with the title, welcome message and footer you wrote. The login hint guides them straight to the course player to sign in and begin the first lesson, whichever device or colour scheme they open it on.
